Hours of Operation
Church office is open Tuesday - Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Appointments can be made for outside these hours.Rentals are available Monday - Friday after 4:30 pm or Saturdays from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm.

Mission Statement of First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin
Our mission statement is how we define the work we do both on and off First UU’s campus. We seek religious truth through personal experience, conscience and reason – not from any particular book or religious authority. Although our historical roots are in the Judeo-Christian tradition, our faith draws on many different religious sources and our congregation is made up of people from many different religious backgrounds and varying beliefs.
At First UU, we are primarily concerned with how we should live, individually and collectively, so that we might become better people, partners, parents and citizens. We believe that truth, justice, and compassion are required of us. We believe that love is better than hatred, understanding is better than prejudice, and that if there is ever to be a better world, people of widely differing beliefs will have to work together to build it. This means we must learn how to communicate and cooperate with people whose beliefs differ from ours. We are united in our acceptance of diverse spiritualities and our commitment to making the world a better place for everyone.
We value worship, fellowship, transcendence, community, and personal transformation and strive to provide a caring, supportive and safe place where our spirits can be rekindled and renewed so that we can better serve one another and the Beloved Community, near and far.
Services are held Sunday at 11:00 am in person and online. Nursery and childcare are available starting at 10:00 am.
We are happy to offer Sunday School at 10:00 am. During service, we have more activities and playground time.
