Your March 26 paper on Page 15 was like a history eye opening to me, all on one page.
I developed the small sales and salvage program on the Sierraville Ranger Dist. in the 1970s. In the fall of 1979 I took the Licensed Foresters test. I passed it and resigned from the Forest Service in the spring of 1980. I am very familiar with the forested areas of the eastside of Sierra and Plumas Counties.
The Lucy Blake property was then part of the Gifford Webber Ranch. I was the forester until it changed ownership. I can advise the Planning Commission, it is NOT TPZ land as it doesn't meet the minimum qualification of Site III. This could explain why it was in the Williamson Act, which it also did NOT meet the definition of.
I then noted the article on the Gold Mtn. project now Nakoma Resort. It seemed this project was very beneficial to Plumas County. This brings us to the City of Santa Clara project, the Balls Canyon Ski Resort development, north of Reno.
Lack of snow, but studies proved that abundant water and the cold temperature made snow making the solution. Should be a very succesful project.
That was until the TPZ and Williamson Act Zoning came into the rezoning to Recreation. Don't forget deer migration.
I talked to one of the lawyers for the City of Santa Clara at the hearing to rezone. He informed that the project was on fast track, and not to worry about it.
He was right. It was fast tracked to DEATH.
The abuse of zoning to stop growth on the east side of Sierra County has been very successful. Check the records.

McGuire like El Douche's leadership or lack of & arrogance, straight out the socialist playbook, ignoring freedom & self-governance, both come from the “Almighty,” reinforced by the Constitution a problem for democrats. McGuire like all liberals are obstructionist & job killers. If it works, change it, if it succeeds, cancel or destroy it. Reagans said of democrat governance in 1986 “Tax Reform” speech. “If it moves, tax it, If keeps moving, regulate it and If it stops moving subside it.” That is what liberal politicians bring to the table. Every blue state is drowning in their own feces as is California. Californians & businesses are overtaxed; over regulated & 13,000 corporations have left CA due to their policies & continue to do so as DEMS destroy economic growth & personal achievement. Dems killed logging in California, a natural resource, it provided our biggest tax revenue in our county. There's 45.5 million acres of federal land in California; Sierra County is hardly the hub of federal land holdings. McGuire placed emphasis on wildfire mitigation/forest management, loggers been doing that for years under severe Federal & State regulation. SPI is recognized by the Federal government for their stewardship of land & proper forest management, working with Federal & private landowners. McGuire supports term limits for Supreme Court justices, but not Congress, Dems break laws to get their way. Redistricting, democrats despise those who disagree with their philosophy, want to silence your vote & free speech permanently in CA elections unless liberal. McGuire speaks of voting rights, he supports illegal voting, “Against the Constitution.” He states of greater accountability for federal agents, NO, it's to restrain ICE, ignoring Section 8 U.S. Code 1325 letting criminal's, rapist & killers into the U.S. unchecked. McGuire supports illegals over naturalize citizens, he & democrats proved that under Biden. President Trump is following the law as determined by the DOJ, SCOTUS, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals in their last decision April 10th, 2026, confirming his authority on immigration. For these actions & more, McGuire calls President Trump a fascist, corrupt, & narcissistic, that is reserved & befitting of Bidens regime, McGuire & that corrupt congress. McGuire lied to his Senior constituents in Sierraville, claims Medicare's been cut, it has not, intentionally misleading. Changes made, eligibility & funding, a realignment of that program, significantly abused, now saving you money. McGuire suggest Medicare for everyone, that is fiscally unsustainable, also proving ACA is a joke, less than 7.2% of Americans on it, cost ineffective.
