To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Sarah Palmer, and my son Charlie has been fighting Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia B-Cell for 791 days as of today, September 26th.
Cancer is more than just the pink ribbon. While breast cancer awareness is important, we also have children here in the Sierra Valley and in surrounding counties like Plumas and Lassen who are fighting for their lives right now.
The gold ribbon represents childhood cancer awareness. Alongside it, ribbons of green, orange, red, and purple all symbolize battles against different cancers. But sadly, the gold ribbon, the one that represents our children, goes unseen.
Our children matter. They deserve to be recognized, honored, and supported in their fight, just as much as any other group. I urge every business, organization, and community leader to step forward and show support for the gold ribbon each September. Our kids de-serve nothing less.
Thank you,
Sarah Palmer

Who is living in Trump's head? I think I can name a few. Jim Comey, Ex FBI director, Gavin Newsome, the irritator from the West. George Soros (George is living in all the right wingers heads), Taylor Swift, the multitalented musician whose is soon to be American Royalty and, at least, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, the super intelligent black guy that knows so much about astrophysics. Perhaps also the Universities, comedians, reality-based thinkers, Canadians. While his empty head is full of all these folks he forgets to govern. Like he could stop the health insurance companies, tech giants and big Pharma from stealing from us ordinary Americans. Oh yes, one other guy other guy is living in Trump's head. Trump's pal of 20 years, Jeffrey Epstein.

After the government shut down on Wednesday, the price of gold hit its 39th high of the year. Pure gold doesn't tarnish and it's never without value.
Hi Jan,
I just saw this article and thought it might be a starting place for a Booster article. WOW, $3,800 an ounce would make it "interesting" to anybody in Sierra County.

So, Mike likes birthdays. They're nice and can be fun. Once I reached my 21st I would just as soon pass them by. The kids keep coming up with these presents I could do without. I finally convinced I had everything I needed and a box of cookies would be fine, but then my doctor stepped in and said to lower my cholesterol. This year my daughter called and said “I booked a cabin in Lassen.” Okay, I've driven through it, but never did the sightseeing thing. Then she said her high school buddy would meet us there. Red flag! She told me to start hiking and get in shape. When we went, we didn't even meet at the cabin and check in. No, it was at a trail head. The next day it was Lassen Peak. Hey it's only 2-1/2 miles from the parking lot. Elevation 2,000 feet in 2-1/2 miles. Oh boy. Luckily the trail had signs along the way that described the view. I read slowly to let my pulse rate get back to normal somewhat. There it was - the mile marker. Hooray! Looking up near the top the people looked like ants. Finally, we reached this flat area with lots of depicting signs. I thought that was it. Then this guy asked, “Did you ring the bell?” The bell was on top of these boulders on the other side of this snow patch. So, on we went and rang the dang bell and sat and ate our lunch enjoying the view. (It was pretty spectacular.) A pair of slippers would have been fine, but did see much of the park. I guess birthdays can be o,k.

Another year. Time flies. Keep up your good work! Beautiful valley now worry about wolves. Poor cattle and ranch folks - and children!
