GOLD DISCOVERY DAY

Good Morning! PESPA (Plumas-Eureka State Park Association) would like to invite the community to Gold Discovery Day, Saturday July 19th at Plumas-Eureka State Park in Johnsville. We are working in partnership with Johnsville Historical Society to make the past come alive.
Saturday, July 19th Gold Discovery Day at Plumas Eureka State Park
Join us for a FREE day of history, nature and family fun as we celebrate the legacy of the Gold Rush Era at Plumas-Eureka State Park. All venues are open from 9 AM to 3 PM.

Wagon rides and historical talks, walks and demonstrations for the whole family. Wool spinning, woodworking, blacksmithing, and the assay office are some of the historic demonstrations you will not want to miss. Learn about life during the Gold Rush on a tour of the Moriarty House tour. We have exciting speakers about nature, the Mohawk Stamp mill, geology, and natural history. There are lots of activities for kids including churning ice cream, candlemaking, and games. Don't miss the chance to step back into history.

Rotary Pancake Breakfast (from 8-10:30) and Sierra Smokeshow Lunch (11:30-2) are available for purchase.
