Grizzly Bears

Hi Jan,

Pat and I read, with interest , your article about grizzly bears being able to run fast. 30 mph in Yellowstone was mentioned, I think.

In 1969 we clocked a mother grizzly with two cubs at 45 miles an hour through a row of willow bushes as we drove out of Mt.McKinley national park.

Grizzlies must be faster in Alaska than the ones in Yellowstone or maybe or maybe bears could run faster in those days?

Keep up with the interesting articles.

Sincerely,

Randy Church
