Tour De Manure is a bike tour that is held in Sierraville, CA (25 miles north of Truckee on CA highways 49 and 89). The ride starts between 8am-9am at the volunteer firehouse at 102 E. Main Street, Sierraville, CA 96126.
Participants can choose between 3 different courses, each offering stunning views of local wildlife, spring meadows, ranching communities, and the natural beauty of one of the Sierra Nevada’s largest high valleys. Riders can choose between a 62 mile loop, a 42 mile loop, and a 30 mile out-and-back route. Participants will be provided with SAG wagons and food stops along each route.
Once the ride is done, decompress at the after party located at the volunteer firehouse on Main St. in Sierraville with food, and live music by Michael Hogan and The Simpletons. Tour De Manure is the main fundraising event for the volunteer firehouse in Sierraville. Proceeds go towards training and equipment expenses so that volunteers can provide emergency medical and fire service to residents and visitors of the western Sierra Valley region.
