10/4/2025 | “Each Musical Headwaters commission is created to spark wonder, deepen empathy, and connect us more closely to the natural world through music.” – Musica Sierra On Friday, October 4th at 6:30 pm, we invite you to the Nature Center in Beckwourth for the next chapter in this series: Hello, Cricket! This joyful new work — part concert, part story, part eco-literacy adventure — was developed with the genre-bending band The Chivalrous Crickets, known for weaving together folk-Celtic, American roots, and early European traditions into a sound that is as rich as it is playful. In true Musica Sierra form, Hello, Cricket! is music for everyone. Though rooted in first grade science standards, the songs, stories, and spirit of this work resonate across ages, inviting all to listen, laugh, and learn together. Audience members can also reserve their own Musical Field Journal — the perfect companion to the songs you’ll hear, filled with prompts for drawing, journaling, and reflection. |
