Grab a drink and join us at Hap Hap Lounge for AI talks, networking, and Hackfort updates. We’re excited to feature two dynamic voices shaping how AI is being used today:
ð¤ Scott Falconer - Applied AI leader and author of Managing AI. Scott will deliver a rapid-fire talk, “Applied AI Essentials: 10 Rules for Real-World Success.” In just 20 minutes, Scott cuts through the noise with hard-won lessons from the trenches of AI adoption. Learn why AI won't fix broken processes, how to shift your focus from hours to outcomes, and why everyone-regardless of title-is now managing AI.
ð¤ Steve Pentland - Researcher, professor, and founder of Rhetorix Lab. Steve will share how his startup is tackling one of education’s biggest challenges: keeping students engaged and learning in the age of AI. With over 90% of students using GPT tools for assignments, his video-based assessment platform is designed to restore academic integrity, elevate student voice, and highlight the human skills AI can’t replace. Beyond education, Steve will also explore how Rhetorix can be applied in industries like corporate training, recruiting, and certification, where authentic learning and assessment matter most.
