Spring is here and it's time for the Portland Garden Club's Annual Geranium Sale. Online ordering will open on April 1st at https://portlandmigardenclub.org/geranium-sale and run through April 30th.
Colors are red, white, light pink, dark pink and salmon and the cost will be $2.50 per plant. There will be a limited quantity, so place your order early as these beautiful plants go quickly!
Curbside pickup at the Portland Red Mill will be on Thursday, May 9th from Noon to 6pm. Stay in your vehicle and pay with cash or check. Your geraniums will be loaded in your vehicle by one of our volunteers.
If you are interested in volunteering to assist with the sale or have any questions, please contact Cathy at (616) 284-1213. Proceeds help us to beautify downtown Portland, have educational speakers at our meetings, and make monetary donations to local organizations.

If you cannot be open FRIDAY, MAY 17th from 9am-7pm and SATURDAY, May 18th from 9am-2pm, you can indicate different hours.

As MI Portland Downtown takes on Independence Celebration Fireworks through 2025, the event will take place at Bouge Flats the FridayBefore July 4 at dusk.

Be a part of shaping up one of Portland's favorite events We have levels and price ranges to suit every business and individual. Portland is a community built and maintained on the strength of its residents and businesses. We come together this time of year to celebrate our independence and appreciate those who've served to maintain our freedoms.
The parade will be on July 4th, at 10:00am. We will be following the same route as we did last year.
Lineup will be on Riverside Drive starting at 9:00am.
As you arrive on Riverside Drive please pull up into line as we will not have assigned spots in the lineup this year.
Please remember that while there is no throwing of items, you are welcome to place them at people's feet or hand things out.
The VFW will be leading the parade with the scouts immediately following them.
