AI Is Rewriting the Rules of Brand Management

By John P. Mello Jr. // May 13, 2025

TechNewsWorld

Although building trust through a carefully crafted brand message is still important, artificial intelligence may be undermining its traditional influence.

“AI isn’t just helping businesses create content or automate tasks; it’s empowering individuals to become instant digital detectives,” Mike Allton, chief storyteller at Agorapulse, a social media management platform for businesses, wrote Monday on LinkedIn.

What that means, he explained, is a company’s entire digital history — reviews, articles, social media sentiment, even employee feedback — is now more transparent and instantly “queryable” than ever before. “The carefully crafted brand message? It’s still important, but AI can now cross-reference it with raw, aggregated public data in seconds,” he noted.

The upside to AI brand management is enormous, maintained Scott Rupp, public relations manager for Marchex, a maker of a conversation intelligence platform headquartered in Seattle. “Companies that integrate AI into their feedback loops can detect early warning signs of brand erosion before they become crises,” he told TechNewsWorld.

“They can spot emerging customer needs, fine-tune messaging based on sentiment shifts, and even. . .

Slant 3D Expands On-Demand 3D Printing Service with New Funding and Factory Plans

By  Kerry Stevenson // April 29, 2025

Fabbaloo

The Boise-based company is a growing 3D print service, able to receive requests and produce polymer parts on demand. Currently, they have at least two print farms, located in Boise and Texas.

Their most recent — and most popular — product is called “Teleport”. It’s a software integration between their 3D print factories and customer parts systems or even online stores. The idea is to trigger part production right from the source.

Teleport enables anyone marketing physical products to have them 3D printed for customers at the time of order, and then have them shipped by Slant 3D. This capability could greatly simplify operations for many online sellers, and evidently has proven quite popular. Slant 3D explains:

“The primary product from Slant 3D is its free Teleport Software. Teleport allows any user to connect their e-commerce store directly into a Slant 3D Factory. So when the store gets an order, Slant 3D will print out the object and ship it directly to the end user. Nothing exists until it is ordered. And there are no costs until an item is sold.”

The popularity of Teleport has attracted investment, with Slant 3D now receiving US$1.5M from unidentified investors.

Microsoft offers to boost European governments' cybersecurity for free

By Supantha Mukherjee // June 4, 2025

Reuters

Microsoft (MSFT.O), opens new tab is offering free of charge to European governments a cybersecurity programme, launched on Wednesday, to bolster their defences against cyber threats, including those enhanced by artificial intelligence, it said.

After a surge in cyberattacks in Europe, many linked to state-sponsored actors from China, Iran, North Korea and Russia, the programme aims to boost intelligence-sharing on AI-based threats and help to prevent and disrupt attacks.

"If we can bring more to Europe of what we have developed in the United States, that will strengthen cybersecurity protection for more European institutions," Microsoft President Brad Smith told Reuters in an interview.

"You're going to see other things we are doing later in the month."

Increasingly, attackers employ generative AI to amplify the scale and impact of their operations that range from disrupting critical infrastructure to spreading disinformation.

Although malicious actors have weaponised AI, Smith said AI also offered defensive tools. . .
