Online Grant Application Workshop on Oct. 21

Who: The California Department of Fish and Wildlife’s (CDFW) Cannabis Restoration Grant Program (CRGP).

What: CDFW will host an online workshop to provide an overview of the Qualified Cultivator Funding Opportunity, Proposal Solicitation Notice. Staff will review the application process and answer any questions. Please see CDFW’s CRGP page for more details on this topic.

When: Thursday, Oct. 21 from 9:30 to 11 a.m.

Why: On Aug. 2021, CDFW announced it was accepting concept proposals in preparation for the Qualified Cultivator Funding Opportunity Solicitation, which was released on Oct. 11. The Oct. 21 workshop is designed to review the priorities of this new funding opportunity and help entities of all sizes with the submission process.

Grants through the CRGP are funded through California’s Environmental Restoration and Protection Account pursuant to Revenue and Taxation Code section 34019(f)(2), and may be used to fund the cleanup, remediation, and restoration of environmental damage in watersheds affected by cannabis cultivation and related activities, and to support local partnerships for this purpose.
