An investor group is buying the Digital Crossing Networks data center in downtown Knoxville and plans to expand its services.
CSK Technologies CEO Paul Sponcia said the center will focus on serving businesses that maintain their own IT staff, but look to use outside companies for specialized IT services and collocation of critical IT systems, disaster recovery and cloud computing services.
Plans are to increase staff, at least by two positions, he said. Dennis Corley will continue as chief operating officer and Mark Morell, a local sales executive, will join the staff as senior business development manager.
Digital Crossing Networks was developed by Technology 2020, an Oak Ridge-based public-private partnership.
