5/3/2021Understanding Business Financials: Past, Present, and Future

Join us every 1st Monday of the month for one of the most critical elements of running a successful business (and life!)
FINANCES.

This month's session we will be diving into business financials: past, present, and future, presented by Sharon Poppell, CPA and Nate Schrandt, CPA with Executive Allies.

Running a business involves so many moving parts and managing a business requires the knowledge of what those parts are, what they are doing, and what they will do for you in the future. The same is for another resource - the dollars that come in and out of your business. Having accurate knowledge of the past will help you make decisions that will impact the future performance of these resources. Finance and accounting relate to every business we can help every business owner understand what lies behind their numbers.

In 60 minutes, we will cover:
1. The basic financial reports (balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and statement of cash flows),
2. Business Budgeting, and
3. Cash flow forecasting.
“If you want to understand today, you have to search yesterday.” – Pearl Buck
We hope to see you there!
Sharon and Nate bring a wealth of knowledge through over 32 years of combined experience in the accounting industry. During these years, they have guided companies through process improvement, strengthening internal controls, and the identifying and tracking of KPIs needed for growth.

They have worked with companies in agriculture, construction, healthcare, and SaaS, and have done everything from payroll to month end close to the preparation of GAAP compliant financial statements. We serve our clients by truly listening to their needs, understanding the unique facets of their industry, introducing new technology, and applying best practices learned over time.
