What a Member Needs to Optimize for Chamber Promotion

Dear Member,

In order for the Chamber of Commerce to be able to properly promote your business online and through our search engine we will need:

  • Basic contact information including your email address.
  • Your regular business hours
  • Up to 10 “About Us” photographs
  • If you have a logo, it needs to be a jpg. file
  • Up to 10 photographs of you, your studio, your paintings for your slide show (if you are an artist for instance).

Alternate Image and Header:

  • An image that goes in your TCS banner at the top of your page. (980 pixels wide)

Main Image:

  • A large photo of whatever you would like to feature at the top of your page under your name and banner. (770 pixels wide)

About Us Information:

  • Need as many key words that best describe your business.
  • Write about your art using as many key words as possible in the text. It should be at least 500 words or longer.

List of Services:

  • Prepare a list of ten phrases that describe ten things that identify your art, describe your art, what you offer or what sets you apart from other artists.
  • List of local businesses you would like to include on your TCS that you would highly recommend to your visitors. (Optional)

Social networking:

If you belong to a social network like:

  • Twitter, Facebook, Blogspot, Linked In, My Space or
  • other networks, you can bring the URL for that
  • network and your login information.

Questions you will be asked:

  • Will you want a map to your location on your TCS?
  • Do you have an existing web site now?
  • Do you want an appointment system on your TCS?
  • Do you have fundraising organizations you support?
  • Do you want your TCS to be your primary website?

If you do desire the TCS to be your primary site, you can order a free domain name. That in place, visitors with your domain name can find your page without going through the chamber.

If this is your goal, then have some name ideas ready you would like to use as your main website address.
