Meeting Suggestions Now Completed by Engineering

Richard Scully

  • Mary Stanko of the Oroville Chamber suggested we add a scrolling widget for PRESS RELEASES. Here is the code for that new widget - simply change the ORG CODE to yours when adding to your website. We'll help you if you would like: <SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascript">
    var org_id = 'ORCC'
    var height = 250
    var width = 250
    var font_size = 8
    var font_face = 'arial'
    </script>
    <script src=" http://www.chamberorganizer.com/
    news_scroller/pr_scroller.php"></script >
  • Susan Brynar from the Chester Lake Almanor Chamber suggested this and now its been added to the system: If the member activates the Wi-Fi option in the TCS setup, then the terms Wi-Fi and WiFi are added to their keywords. If the Wi-Fi option is unchecked, then those terms are removed from the keywords. Now people using the Chamber Search Engine will easily find WIFI hotspots via the search boxes.
  • Lisa Bailey from Irwindale CC in California made this suggestion—I think it would be a GREAT enhancement to have a log of the past posts (helps to avoid unintentional duplicates) like you have for the broadcast emails. Also not sure if you can add a link generator, but that would be awesome to help drive traffic to our websites which is the main objective of using social media.
  • Steve Voltz from the Balsam Lake Chamber suggested we ad an ability for members who use the "Member Calendar Network" to have the option of publishing this calendar with "ONLY" their events in their own websites and social networks. This is now done: To use this, sign in to the MMS and go to your TCS page. Then find the option to "Post Events". Underneath the description are the words "Link to your events". You can click on the link or copy-and-paste the URL into an email, etc. I've tested it and appears to work well.
  • It was requested that we add video training for each module. This has been done so members will now see a video icon within the members area and within the TCS center. (Done - Thank You Great Idea!)
  • Richard, I wanted to share this thought with you. For events, we often have people registering that aren’t responsible for paying. We have requests for the invoices to be emailed, but the only auto email goes to the person that registered. It would be nice to have the ability to also designate an alternate address for a particular invoice to be emailed to. Just a thought. Best Regards, Erin Wiedeman Office Manager/Business Advocate Corvallis-Benton Chamber Coalition (541) 757-1506 ewiedeman@cbchambercoalition.com www.cbchambercoalition.com
  • With input from Danielle Brown from Southwest Valley Chamber we re-tooled "What Do You Need Right Now" into "Members Can Help" with re-launch of old site under new name. People were asking asking who can help... so we answered with "Members Can Help".
  • Custom configure the SUBJECT LINE of the monthly SIR Reports.
  • Per Scott we have added additional GEO-CODING details in the GEO-CODING report for easier Google map building. Adding WIFI parks to WIFI members should be easier now.
  • Per Robin we've added the ability to create DEFAULT payment terms for events.
  • Add Support for LinkedIN within the Multipost Area
  • Provide Access to Members for Search and No Finds + Finds
  • Newsletter Advertising Module Member-to-Member specials / coupon automation URL Shortener so multi-posts look better once pushed out to social networks.
  • Calendar break out to power multiple event websites.
  • Create Buy Local Program video training for members.
  • The admin area for TCS pages off the member data base admin screen (Edit Traffic Catcher Site Info/Text) is missing a place to put the paragraph of Going Green information under where the admin is able to activate this service where members are not given access to the self service program.
  • In the members area bottom needs to have a Member-To-Member Icon and Link to only those specials.
  • Newsletters now allow for multiple calendar event modules... one for members, one for community, one of chamber or any combination.
  • The banner stats only allow for current and last month views... when selling these banners the executives need a year of history... please add this ability like you did recently for member directory exposures.
  • Convert the Going Green Program into a self-service module for members.
  • Member to Member discount program.
  • The Going Green program indicator needs to be improved on all member directories.
  • Admins are now able to quickly edit the going green program information at the member level through admin access screen. Where the member sets up their going green information it needs to say "I Take the Pledge So Add My Business to this Program __ (Check Box)" If the person does not enter anything in the paragraph area (although it requires 150 chars.) they can proceed with nothing in the box (this is an error). The paragraph in the GG area needs to say (150 chars or more required). Add a way to show how many times a particular member category is requested by month so they can use stats to sell category specific banner ads.
