What if you collaborated with local businesses to lift all boats?

Since starting in the advertising business here in Albuquerque in 1990 I can say I believe this may be one of the best opportunities in the Local Market to Sell Your Stuff and make new friends and customers!

You Know it's Local when...

Back in the old days the weatherman on the radio would stick his toe out the window and tell you the local weather.  Nowadays they tell you its so many minutes past the hour and they'll cut to the National Weather Service.

Phot by #AwardWinningLocalPhotographer Dan Shaffer (taken 4-19-16)

We're local, and we're here to tell you it was COLD last week. Snow on the Peak in April!  Extended Local Ski Season!  More water in the reservoirs! And how about that Fog Tuesday morning?

Oh, and we're still a Dry state!

Need YOUR valuable input/survey could really help us with ecosystem gaps

Gary L. Oppedahl

As part of a joint partnership between the city of Albuquerque and the Kauffman Foundation, a new research project is being launched to get a better sense of the unique characteristics of greater Albuquerque and how its entrepreneurial ecosystem has developed and evolved over time.

The creation of new businesses, often in the form of spinoffs, is an important dynamic in

entrepreneurial ecosystems. In this context, spinoffs are defined as businesses that are started by former employees of private or public companies, laboratories, universities or federal, state and local governments.

Traditional data sources do not provide sufficient information about the sources and backgrounds of entrepreneurs who are starting new spinoff businesses. This spring, a survey will go live to reach and collect information from founders of spinoffs within greater Albuquerque. The data collected will help build a genealogy map representing the region’s spinoff activity. You can find an example of what this map will look like below (the result of the same research project in the Kansas City metropolitan area from 2012.)
