2016 Board of Directors Slate Coming Soon!

Please keep an eye on your in-box as we'll be asking you to accept our 2016 Slate for the Board of Directors.

We've had some exciting nominations and plan to present you with a dynamic crew.

Don't worry - we'll still be counting on every one of you for more involvement - THAT's how we win, collectively and individually!

How-To to build your Directory PAge

Jeff Hutchinson

We received a letter from a colleague in Utah who has a guide to help you set up your Traffic Catcher System Directory page.  I've been able to help several members and am availalbe to do so still, BUT check this out and you may be able to do it in the comfort of your own business!

Dear Clifton,

I am a chamber member in Lehi, UT and want to inform you about a new Step-By-Step procedure to help all members build their Traffic Catcher Site (TCS) websites. The procedures will guide the members through the process and will allow them to use the Chamber resources available.

The Chamber Nation decided to post my procedures so members can have access to them, but they are hard to find. To find the procedures through the Chamber Nation:

  1. Go directly to www.chamberclassroom.com Then click on the “Admin Self Service Help Desk”
  2. From here you can either type in the search field “TCS” and it will come up as result #2, or you can go down to the box titled “general” and it will be the first category.

Also, there should be a link in the “help” area on all of our chamber admin pages.

I suggest posting my procedures on each chamber area web site under the “Resources,” or “Quick Links” labeled “How To Build A TCS” and establish a link to:  www.excel-networks.com/chamber.html

I am available for technical support, if needed, and I will continually serve to improve the procedures.

Thank you for your time and consideration!

Jeff Hutchinson

Have YOU Paid YOUR Dues Lately?

In spite of the increased recognition we've gained for the KeepItQuerque Brand and the KeepItQuerque Mission we are having a heckuva time collecting Dues.

Please check your inbox - if you're getting this e-mail then you are getting your invoices at this address as well.

Thanks to all who are current!

You Asked For It, You Got It! MORE NETWORKING!

Many of you have asked KeepItQuerque to provide more networking opportunities recently.

With all the networking events around town KeepItQuerque wants to remind you we are networking with collaborators like D.J. Heckes and her annual Jingle Mingle November 18th, not to mention her big Annual Event (more on that coming soon) as well as our partners the Albuquerque Conventiona and Visitors' Bureau and the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce (click and see!)  As if that weren't enough chances to see each other - and other friends, neighbors and colleagues, don't forget KeepItQuerque Member Patrick Baldanado, host of the biggest ABQ Business Group Business Group

But theres' more!

When a New Directory For Local Consultants came to us to collaborate one of the "wins" we saw was the opportunity to co-sponsor, along with KeepItQuerque Member Loan Fund and other collaborators, a MONTHLY SmartMixer!  And guess what?

Attendees Are Raving About the 2015 Member Forum!

From Gary Oppedahls' review of the City's encouragement of entrepreneurship and other initiatives aimed at bolstering the Local Economy to the OUTSTANDING Buffet served by Scarpa's/Cooperage we had nothing but KUDOS from the folks who attended our Forum at the Anderson-Abruzzo International Balloon Museum (thanks to the City for THAT hookup!).

Jack Baillio shared how Baillio's Appliance, Electronics and Mattress stores have used their membership in a nationwide buying co-op (along with other KeepItQuerque members like TEMA Contemporary Furniture).

Wyatt Werzgyn shared how the American Booksellers and the Independent Booksellers have helped Bookworks stay relevant, thriving as the giants have succombed to the internet.

And, speaking of the Internet, Duane Kinsley of Sport Systems shared how he is demosntrating that his locally owned, brick and mortar store is beating the internet!

The Bottom Line?  We have the LOCAL Talent here, in Albuquerque, in KeepItQuerque, to share best practices so that, in "Co-opetition" we can provide value to our community and thrive in the Global Economy!

Thanks to our Paelists and to all the "Party Faithful" who made this such a succesful event!

Look for more!
