Our MainStreetCrowd Project is starting to Snowball!

Clifton Chadwick

Local doesn't meant the big-box on your side of the river.  You knew that, but according to the Garrity 2013 Perception Study less than half of New Mexicans indicate they prefer locally owned stores!  Those who do prefer ‘local’ mention the national chains most frequently when asked what local businesses they’ve purchased from in the last month! That’s a big gap.

Ron Shettlesworth, President/CEO, Main Bank

Your KeepItQuerque - buy local organization has collaborated with MainStreetCrowd to be one of the first civic organizations in the nation to use crowdfunding.  Our project is designed to close that gap.

With contribution levels from $10 for a "Participant" to $1,000 for a "Sustaining Member" there is a way for YOU to help us help the Albuquerque area economy - even if it just means passing the link (www.tinyurl.com/tenpercentshift) along to your like-minded "locavores."

Main Bank and Ameriplex Mortgage President and SEO Ron Shettlesworth is "all in," though.  Not only has Ron joined as the project's first sustaining member, he's already helping us identify who other potential "sustaining Members" will be!

With a full tow months left to raise the money to put what "Buy Local" means and who the KeepItQuerque - buy local businesses are, we're well on our way with over one third of our required funding - and almost one fourth of our total "desired" funding in the bag!

As a "Sustaining Member" Ron also will be giving a membership to one of his Locally owned colleagues!  Thanks Ron!

At all the contribution levels from "Member" up to "Sustaining Member" current members can apply their member benefit to the subsequent year, so, you go ahead!  Renew at www.tinyurl.com/tenpercent shift - this is a way every member of our community can help KeepItQuerque - buy local!

Big Shout-Out to Eddy Aragon and "The Rock of Talk!"

Since our study on how much money Albuquerque Keeps came out in June, 2013, "The Rock of Talk" 1600AM and 95.9FM has been one of our biggest supporters!
