Keeping our money here - or - KeepItQuerque!

Hopefully you've read one of the recent articles about the "Albuquerque Multiplier."
In a study by Civic Economics commissioned by your local business alliance, it was shown that dollars spent with locally owned and independently operated businesses like yours

recirculate though our economy nearly three times more than money left with a national chain.

Hopefully you read one of the recent articles about the "Albuquerque Multiplier."  In a study by Civic Economics commissioned by your local business alliance, it was shown that dollars spent with locally owned and independently operated businesses like yours recirculate through our economy nearly three times more than money left with a national chain.

The Albuquerque Journal said it succinctly; "Locals' revenue tends to stay here."

Albuquerque Business First said that a "Business group asks buyers to become unchained."

And, for those of you who haven't seen the article yet, Civic Economics says that if we all shift just 10% of our spending to local stores we'll retain an additional $179,000,000 in our economy - every year! Yes, that's a lot of zeros!

That's money for our schools, our roads, our public safety, parks libraries... what would you spend it on?  Imagine if a portion of that money went to incubating small businesses that were just on the point of ramping up to produce more - and who would hire more!Hopefully you read one of the recent articles about the "Albuquerque Multiplier."  In astudy by Civic Economics commissioned by your local business alliance, it was shown that dollars spent with locally owned and independently operated businesses like your recirculate though our economy nearly three times more than money left with a national chain.

KeepItQuerque Member Spotlight; Amish Connection

The name speaks for itself; after speaking with owners Chet and Leann Hine, I felt the “connection."  Since 1973, the Amish Connection has been providing Albuquerque with a wonderful selection of hand crafted furniture directly from the east region.

You get a true sense of the quality as soon as you walk into this expansive 8,000 square foot showroom located on Juan Tabo near Lomas. When asked what separates the Amish Connection from the big box stores, “service” and “quality” were the easy answers.
