Post YOUR Events
On the KeepItQuerque.org
Calendar
For Everyone To See

We would love for our members and all of Albuquerque to know about anything special that is going on at your business.

It is easy to post your events on our online calendar. If you link the information to your website it adds more SEO value for your website with search engines like Google. That means more people will find your website.

We want to help you any way we can and listing your events on our calendar is one of the best.

Just go to the "Events Page" on KeepItQuerque.org and click the "Submit Events" button on the right and fill out the form. Once your event has been reviewed by our Programs Committee, it will be posted to the calendar. (This usually takes 1-3 days)

For Percent of Retail Sales Generated
By Local Business vs. National Chains
Albuquerque Is Only Ranked 184
Out of 363 Metro Areas In U.S.

We Are In The Bottom Half AND
We Need Your Help To Change This

In the most recent "Indie City Index," "Civic Economics.com" has created the first detailed study of independent retail vitality nationwide.

The index ranks each Metro Statistical Areas (city areas) on the share of retail sales captured by independent retail businesses vs. National and Regional chain retail companies.

Category rankings were based on such criteria as population and region, and offers an initial look at some of the most telling variables identified in the study. The report’s analysis offers a new and eye-opening map of independent retail performance.

ALBUQUERQUE IS IN THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE STUDY AND WE MUST IMPROVE BEFORE ALL OF OUR MONEY IS GONE.

Please help us get the word out. Help our local economy by paying closer attention to your business and personal spending and do that speinding with independent locally owned businesses whenever possible.

The Institue for Local Self Reliance conducted another study showing that $100 spent with a Locally Owned Business generates $45 of secondary local spending compared to $14 with a big box chain.

Spending with a locally owned business (like one of our members) generates more the 3 Times The Local Economic Impact as buying from a national or regional chain.

What does that mean? Be aware and whenever possible, spend with a locally owned restaurant, retailer, farmer, winery, service business, consulting company, etc. and you pile more than 3 times as much money back into our economy.
